Description
Prosoma 350 is useful in treating short term muscle pain. It is a muscle relaxant effective for the treatment of muscle pain, sprains and muscle injuries. The active ingredient in the medicine is Carisoprodol 350mg. The manufacturer of the medicine is Centurian Laboratories Pvt. Ltd. The medicine is also useful to treat muscle-skeletal disorders which include back pain. It acts on the neuronal systems that control tone and movement. It blocks inter neuronal activity. The medication works with rest, physical therapy to relax muscles after an injury or any kind of sprain. It uses in acute skeletal muscle alterations with stiffness and muscle contraction, with pain, of inflammatory origin or low back pain, muscle strain. It comes in the form of a tablet. It has an element of pain relief and potentiates other pain relievers that do exist.
USAGE
Take Prosoma 350 orally with or without fasting. It usually works for 4 to 6 hours. It works to treat short term muscle pain or sprains, maximum duration of treatment would be two or three weeks as prescribed by the doctor.
DOSAGE
Take the dosage f the medicine as per prescription by the doctor. It has increased risk of addiction in long users of this medication. Try not to increase the doses just to get better or quick results. Elderly population should either avoid or use cautiously under doctor’s guidance. Abrupt discontinuation may lead to severe effects on one’s health. So, do not stop the medication without consulting your doctor.
PRECAUTIONS
Do not take the medicine if you have signs of a significant reaction like chest tightness, fever, itching, bad cough, blue skin colour etc. Also before taking the medicine tell your doctor if you have history of acute intermittent porphyria. It has risk of psychological dependence and liver failure. Make sure while using prosoma 350, you are not pregnant or breastfeeding. Avoid consumption of alcohol. After taking the medicine try not to drive as it caused sleepiness and drowsiness.
